10 The end of course competition
The students who started in April have just completed 2 months of the lesson.
The students who has already been working in Japan and the young students who came to Italy soon after they graduated school, have worked hard together cooperating and supporting one another while affecting positively to each other.

At the end of course competition, the students work in a pair to cook and the pair who has the highest total score wins the competition. Everyone’s facial expressions were very serious.
The winner for this year was Ms. Chisato and Mr. Takahiko. Congratulations!
After the school has ended, we all enjoyed a dinner together and there was a surprise birthday party as well as giving of a farewell message and a gift of T-shirt to our teacher Mr. Francesco and to Mr. Sakurai who is leaving after 2 months. It was a very inspiring day. I think it was really a wonderful team (fellow students). I will miss them but I’m sure there will be opportunities to see them again in the future.

There are students who will return to Japan, but also many who will remain to start their internship.It is not easy to find a restaurant who will accept an intern chef who come from a foreign country.
They will of course intern as a trainee but the restaurant is focused on the satisfaction of the customers so they have high expectations of trainees’ will to work hard. You may be worried by this fact but it is necessary to have a strong determination to challenge in a foreign country. Whether or not if you can fight with yourself and grow to a large extent is really up to you. No one is going to hep you with this decision.
There may be times of hardships and frustration, but if you believe in yourself and keep making the effort, you will surely succeed. We greatly appreciate the families and friends for their support and may this learning in Italy be a wonderful experience.
